My stay at Newport Harbor Island Resort was topped by amazing views and a relaxing atmosphere, but the overall experience could have been better. The location on Goat Island is stunning and convenient for exploring Newport, although the room I stayed in was somewhat outdated and dark. The staff was friendly and attentive, yet there were some issues with communication that left me feeling frustrated at times. 😕🌅
Rooms
6.0
While my room had a view, it felt dark and could use a refresh to match the beautiful surroundings. I had hoped for a more inviting atmosphere.
Service
7.0
The staff was warm and accommodating; however, there were moments of poor communication that affected my experience.
Location
9.0
The resort's location is fantastic, sitting right in the middle of Newport Harbor. It's close enough to downtown attractions while still feeling like a peaceful getaway.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were decent but felt a bit overpriced for what was offered. I expected more variety and better pricing.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were overall nice, with some great amenities to enjoy, like outdoor activities and a pool. However, I think some areas need improvements.

My stay at Newport Harbor Island Resort had some highlights but was overshadowed by significant drawbacks. The beautiful decorations and clean grounds were a treat, but the service and room conditions left much to be desired. I appreciated the outdoor areas and amenities, yet the experience felt chaotic and disorganized overall.
Rooms
5.0
I found the room tiny for the price I paid and was disappointed that the promised balcony was not included. The long walk to my room felt like a trek, especially for the cost.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly and accommodating, I often felt confused by a lack of clear communication, especially regarding services like the Kids Club and housekeeping. It was frustrating to chase after requests.
Location
5.0
The resort's location was beautiful and offered amazing views of the harbor. However, due to the crowded atmosphere, it didn't quite deliver the relaxing experience I expected.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was decent but not particularly nice. The outdoor dining area was lovely, yet service quality varied during my meals, which detracted from the experience.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel's facilities were aesthetically pleasing, but the upkeep was lacking, especially the pool cleanliness. It would have been nice to have more amenities and clearer information about the services available.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Newport Harbor Island Resort. The location was lovely with beautiful views, but the hotel itself felt more like a cheap motel than a luxurious retreat. While I enjoyed the food at Scarpetta, the service overall was lacking, and I encountered several management issues that left me feeling dissatisfied.
Rooms
6.0
My room had a nice view of the marina but lacked comfort. I found it not particularly clean, and the bathroom was tiny for two people.
Service
5.0
Service at the pool was mediocre, with long waits, and I experienced quite a hassle retrieving my misplaced phone.
Location
5.0
The location was pretty, but it was farther from dining and shopping than I had hoped. It would have been nice to access more activities easily.
Dining
7.0
Dining at Scarpetta was excellent, but the pool food service was only okay and didn’t impress me.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were nice in terms of views, but they were overcrowded at the pool, making it hard to enjoy.

My stay at the Newport Harbor Island Resort had its highs and lows. The location is fantastic with beautiful scenery, and I really enjoyed the cocktails and food. However, the room left much to be desired, as it felt cramped and outdated, and the service was inconsistent. Overall, I found the experience overpriced for what I received.
Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was quite small, with just a bed and a chair/desk setup, which didn't meet my expectations given the price I paid. Additionally, I had issues with the door that didn't open smoothly.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly and helpful, the overall service felt disorganized, especially during busy times. I had a frustrating experience with slow responses and lack of attention that diminished my stay.
Location
8.0
The hotel is situated in an excellent location with easy access to various restaurants and stunning views. Goat Island itself is a gorgeous spot that added charm to my trip, despite some operational challenges.
Dining
6.0
The dining options had their highlights, such as delicious cocktails and some tasty dishes, but prices felt excessive for certain items, like an $8 side of bacon. Dining here was more about the experience than the food quality.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities seemed nice at first glance, but several advertised features did not work properly during my stay. The lack of staff available at night was particularly concerning in a resort setting.

My stay at Newport Harbor Island Resort offered a lovely mix of tranquility and stunning views. The staff was attentive and welcoming, which certainly enhanced the experience. However, the hotel does show signs of needing updates, particularly in the room facilities which felt a bit outdated for the price point. Overall, it’s a beautiful location with great amenities, but there are areas that could be improved.
Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in provided a nice view, and it felt spacious enough for my needs. However, the facilities seemed somewhat outdated, which detracted from the overall comfort.
Service
9.0
The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. They were attentive and helpful, which made a difference in my experience.
Location
10.0
The resort is perfectly located on the water, with easy access to downtown Newport via a complimentary shuttle. It was good to unwind by the water.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the dining options, although they were a bit pricey. The quality of food was really good, making the menu enjoyable despite a few expensive items.
Facilities
7.0
The amenities, including a shuttle service and outdoor areas, were great. However, I noted that some facilities need sprucing up to match a more luxurious standard.
